New Member Recruitment Drive

The General Election on July 4th 2024 meant a huge turnover in MP staff and a key moment to recruit members.

We were busy in the following months making sure that new MPs and their staff knew that the Unite Parliamentary Branch is here representing staff:

• Branch members represented Unite at workplace inductions for new Members of Parliament and for new Office Managers.

• Leaflets were delivered by mail to the constituency offices of new MPs.

• The branch had a stall at the New Parliament Fair in Portcullis House in December 2024.

• We also door-knocked MP offices across the Parliamentary estate and had lots of really good face-to-face conversations with new staff about issues affecting them.
